On Tuesday, the NEPSE index saw a significant rise, closing above 2100 points, fueled by talks of banks and financial institutions potentially lowering interest rates in the month of Ashadh (mid-June to mid-July).
This marks the first time in nine trading days that NEPSE has surpassed the 2100-point threshold, with the previous instance being on Jestha 14 (May 28).
NEPSE climbed by 33.15 points to settle at 2115.24 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Index increased by 4.18 points, the Float Index by 2.52 points, and the Sensitive Float Index by 1.66 points.
