The interviews for the five shortlisted candidates for the chairman position of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) are set to take place today, Sunday, June 16th.
The Financial Sector Management and Institution Coordination Division of the Ministry of Finance has invited the shortlisted candidates to present their business plans and attend the interviews today.
The interviews will commence at 9 AM in the meeting hall of the National Planning Commission, according to the division.
The candidates shortlisted for the SEBON chairman position are Dr. Navaraj Adhikari, Muktinath Shrestha, Krishna Bahadur Karki from the Nepal Stock Exchange, Chiranjivi Chapagain, and Santosh Narayan Shrestha.
In January, the government formed a recommendation committee led by Min Bahadur Shrestha, the Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission, to suggest candidates for the SEBON chairman role. The committee recommended candidates on April 7th. The presentation of business plans and the interviews, which had been postponed on the direction of the Finance Minister, are now scheduled for today.
